This fanzine is about Splatoon 3’s Wave 2 DLC, Side Order, a first of its kind Splatoon rouge-like! This zine aims to present art, writing, merchandise, speed running tips, and much more from Splatoon fans who fell in love with the DLC.Would I have had to have
played Side Order to participate in this zine?
We wish for contributors to have at least played and completed Side Order before applying, or have seen others play through it entirely. This will ensure you have plenty of knowledge for your pieces and fics to go off of.

Moderator Guidelines
Mod positions are very important to the livelihood of the zine, so having experience in whatever position you are interested in is required. For example, if you are interested in being our writing mod, you must have experience in writing and critiquing other's work. We will NOT accept mods with no experience. Mod applications will open after the interest check as closed.

What we are looking for:
• A well realized/consistent art style.
• 3–5 examples of your strongest work.
• A good understanding of the elements of art and design, including anatomy, composition, and color choice.
• Experience in drawing characters within a scene.
• The ability to tell a story through a single page/spread.
• Confidence in drawing backgrounds, props, and elements other than characters.Merchandise Contributor Portfolio Guidelines
What we are looking for:
• A well realized/consistent art style.
• 3–5 examples of your strongest work.
• A good understanding of the elements of art and design, including anatomy, composition, and color choice.
• Compositions that can easily fit into a piece of merchandise, such as easy to read designs (strong silhouettes are key!)
• Not required, but if you’ve made merchandise in the past, don't be afraid to include it!Writer Portfolio Guidelines
What we are looking for:
• Grammatically correct use of English with consistent voice and tense (American or British English are both okay).
• Engaging storytelling through both dialogue and prose.
• A distinct writing style and voice.
• A 1.5–2K sample of your strongest work. You may include up to two samples.Your application will be rejected if...
• Your portfolio link does not work.
• Your portfolio includes AI generated content.
• You plan to make work unrelated to Side Order. (No OCs please! We only want canon characters to be presented.)
• Your portfolio contains NSFW work, is inherently NSFW, or is connected to an NSFW profile. We want this zine to be able to be read by all ages, so please refrain from applying if this applies to you.
• You include traced/stolen work in your portfolio. Your work must be entirely original and created by yourself.
• You are under 16. We need mature, well mannered individuals to be ready to handle the responsibilities of contributing to a zine for over an extended amount of time.
• You promote harmful or hateful content. This includes both in your portfolio and your social media pages. Issues we will not tolerate includes, but is not limited to: homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, pedophilia, zoophilia, incest, etc. We expect our zine to be a safe space for all those who participate and purchase it. If you are accepted and then caught to be participating in ANY the content listed above, you will be banned and blacklisted for our contributors' safety.
